  • A Great Summer

    Hello...Wow I can't believe how long it's been since I've updated...well here goes!

We are having a great summer.  It started with a trip to Georgia in June, we had an amazing time and it was so fun being with my family!  We went to a Wildlife Safari and it was quite the experience, we all had a blast...adults and kids :0)  Our weather has been amazing and we have enjoyed so much time outside.  We are headed to the beach this weekend, hopefully its warm!  My cousins son Brent came out and stayed a few weeks with us this month and the kids had so much fun with him, they were sad when he left.  O

Emma is enjoying her summer...she is basically living at Mimi and Papa's :0)  Seriously we haven't seen her much, her and Mimi are sewing and watching movies together.  She is excited for Bible school next week at church and really looking forward to horse camp next month, she's signed up for the week after her birthday.  I can't believe she's going to be 9, she is really growing up!  She enjoys helping with the babies at the gym daycare, it makes her feel grown up...like I need that!

McCoy is as brown as a little gingerbread, that kid likes the sun as much as me, so we've had fun in the kiddie pool.  He has hit a growth spurt and is growing like a weed.  He says he misses school and can't wait to go back.  He had made a lot of new friends at the gym though and loves playing with them.  He's trying to help Wyatt with potty training and it's hilarious watching them outside.

Wyatt is still as crazy as ever...he is fearless about everything!  He is so excited to go to preschool next year but isn't interested at all in potty training so we'll see if he's there.  He is loving having Emma and McCoy at home.  He has finally realized the sprinkler on the trampoline is fun, it's great watching him do his "tricks".  Hard to believe he's going to be 3 next month...my baby is a big boy!

Jimmy and I are doing great.  He is still working hard and we are thankful that Anixter is still doing okay!  Well I think that's all the news from here, not a lot going on just happy and healthy!  I am posting a lot of pictures so enjoy!

    Love,
    Karen

  • It's been a long time

    Hello All...

I can't believe how long it's been since I've updated this...I have no excuse except for being lazy.  So here goes!!!

I guess I'll recap Christmas.  We had a wonderful time together with family.  Christmas Eve with Jimmy's family, we had a great time together just eating, visiting and opening gifts.  My folks stayed the night at our place and spent Christmas day.  Matt came over and we opened presents, ate, played games and watched movies.  It was a nice relaxing time!  We had so much snow in December it was amazing, Emma missed 2 days of school and the rest was over Christmas break...we actually had a white Christmas!

Emma is doing great!  Her big news is she got her ears pierced...she is so excited.  She's still having to wear her original for a couple more weeks but she's already got some "dangling" (that's what she calls them and can't wait to wear) ones ready!  She has become an excellent speller...getting A+'s on her spelling test!  She is taking an Art class after school every Tuesday until May, it started today and she is so excited!  Can't wait to see what she makes.  Her Spring break is next week and she is looking forward to some time at Mimi and Papa's!

McCoy had a great 4th birthday...Batman themed.  He is really into super heroes, his favorite movie right now is Iron Man!  He has become so outgoing since starting preschool, I am just so proud of him!  He loves being the leader (just like Emma did) and loves his share day!  He is really curious about how things are spelled and what things start with so we play a lot of spelling games!  He's also obsessed with what time it is...I think my clock obsession has worn off on him.  He is sleeping in boxers now...no pull-ups!!!  He has accidents every once in a while but is doing pretty good and so proud of himself!

Wyatt is great...he is talking up a storm and so expressive, I love when he tells us stories!  He is getting to be a little independent, Tues - Thurs. he goes to the gym daycare w/o McCoy and does great.  The first few weeks were a little rough but now he loves it!  Still not potty training but we'll get there soon!  He is crazy about Anne Hathaway movies...it's hilarious, he just stares at the TV....first crush maybe :0)  He is definitely the most trying of the three, very strong willed but oh so loving!

Jimmy is doing good.  We are thankful in these times that Anixter is a healthy company and he has a good job!  I started back at the gym in January and joined a fitness challenge in February that ends May 9th.  I am loving working out again (never thought I'd say those words again) and feel great!

Well I think that's all of the news...even though it's been a while not a lot has happened with us!  Enjoy the pictures.

  • Merry Christmas!!!

    Hello All...

It feels like forever since I've updated so let's get started!  Well we are anticipating snow this weekend, we shall see, but the kids are so excited, I hope it does too :0)  We had a nice Thanksgiving.  We had all of Jimmy's family over and celebrated all the November birthdays, there were 4 of them!  Later in the evening Mimi and Papa came over and we had turkey and ham sandwiches and of course more pie...Jimmy made his famous rolls and my favorite Peanut Butter pie!  Sadly our Beaver season did not end as hoped, the Civil War was horrible, such a disappointment!  We were so excited about the possibility of going to the Rose Bowl, well there is always next year!!!  I got all my hair cut off, it is a nice change and a fun style.  Jimmy is doing great at work, staying busy so we are thankful for that!  We have the biggest Christmas tree this year!!!  It is 19 ft. tall!  Jimmy got so excited about the height that we didn't think about the width, when we got it in Jimmy's dad's truck I realized it was wider than the truck!!  We have it anchored to the wall with fishing line!  It turned out beautiful but it will be our Christmas memory of 2008, I'm just waiting for the squirrel to jump out of it (Christmas Vacation...great movie).

Emma has decided she wants to get her ears pierced for Christmas, we'll see if she goes through with it.  I will be pleasantly surprised if she does it.  She has finally mastered the monkey bars...poor thing has so many callouses on her hands but she did it, now she's trying tricks on them!  She wrote a song titled "Jesus our Savior" and one of the guys at church put music to it and they sang it at the ladies Christmas party on Saturday, she was so proud, and we are singing it at church next week!  Her and Mimi are having their 4th annual Tea Party next Saturday, they are working on the menu and crafts now.  She is counting the days until Christmas vacation (me too, no alarm).

McCoy has his Christmas program at school on Thursday, he has been practicing his songs and the sign language that goes with "Silent Night".  It is the cutest thing watching him!  McCoy loves the tree, he just looks at it and says "it's beautiful".  Some friends gave him some karate gear and he loves wearing it, it's a helmet and gloves.  He goes between being a pirate, Buzz Lightyear, Emil (from Ratatouille), karate and of course a super hero!  We have been using our Wii a lot and McCoy is really good at bowling!  He even does it with his eyes closed and thinks it's the funniest thing!  Last month we took the boys bunk beds apart and they were so excited!  We needed to do it because Wyatt would climb up the ladder, still being asleep to lay with McCoy and we were scared he would fall.

Wyatt is growing like a weed...he had an outfit on yesterday that just a few months ago was too long and now it's too short!!!  Can't believe how big he's getting.  He is obsessed with Santa, it's pretty cute, he loves watching the Christmas movies and singing all the carols.  He actually sings "Jingle Bells" where you can tell what he's singing, it is so sweet!  I wish I had a dollar for everytime I've told him to leave the Christmas tree alone, I'd be a wealthy woman :0)  He has started playing Wii too, he loves to bowl and can sometimes do it without help, but he's so stuborn, he gets really mad when we want to help him.  It takes a lot of patience to play with him...Jimmy is much better than me about it!

I have so much to be thankful for and am very blessed!!!  Hope you all have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

    Enjoy the pictures!

    Love you all,
    Karen

  • A Big Update

    Hello All and Happy Fall!!!

We have been enjoying absolutely beautiful weather!!!  I braved the Pumpkin Patch w/ the 3 kiddos by myself, I didn't want to risk not having good weather so me and the boys picked up Emma after school and went.  We had so much fun.  My rule was you can get a pumpkin as big as you can carry.  Everyone did great and we got some great pumpkins!  Jimmy and I had a Halloween party on Saturday, it was our first kid free party in lets see, Emma's 8 ...so 8 years :0)  We had so much fun and there were a lot of great costumes, it was a fun mix of college friends, church friends and neighbors.  Jimmy was a redneck but everyone said he looked like "Joe Dirt" and I was witch.  We have made it to all the Beaver football games so far this year thanks to Mimi and Papa, Aunt Joy and Missy.  They have all watched the kids for us!  We have had a prowler in our neighborhood trying to get in back doors so Mimi and Papa spent the night with me and the kids last week while Jimmy was seeing customers.  The kids were thrilled to have them here!

Emma and I went to High School Musical Ice Tour last week.  We had a great time, it was a lot of fun watching Emma sing along to the songs.  We will probably go see the 3rd movie sometime next week.  She has decided to be Hannah Montana for Halloween so we got her a blond wig and headset to wear w/ her Hannah Montana t'shirt.  She is so excited to wear her wig!  She continues to do well in school, Jimmy and I continue to be amazed at how well she is reading...she loves it too!  She is really into the Junie B. Jones books.  Emma was very specific in her pumpkin carving this year...it turned out really good!

McCoy decided to be Buzz Lightyear again this year so we got him a new costume this weekend...the one from last year was a little snug!  He had his Harvest Party at school today and was so excited because he got to dress up.  He has been the leader at school a few times and loves it, he is so proud wearing his leader sticker!  McCoy did a lot of his own carving this year on his pumpkin and was so proud of himself!

Wyatt is proving to be a very strong willed 2 year old.  He can be so stubborn and then the next minute such a little lover.  He reminds me a lot of Emma when she was little.  He is really talking in sentences and loves coloring these days.  He is wearing McCoy's Buzz costume from last year...it was nice only having to buy one costume this year!  He carved his pumpkin this year and thought it was the coolest thing sticking his hand inside, he just giggled a lot!

That's all the news from here.  I'm posting a lot of pictures!!!  Enjoy!

    Love you all,
    Karen
