Hello All...
It feels like forever since I've updated so let's get started! Well we are anticipating snow this weekend, we shall see, but the kids are so excited, I hope it does too :0) We had a nice Thanksgiving. We had all of Jimmy's family over and celebrated all the November birthdays, there were 4 of them! Later in the evening Mimi and Papa came over and we had turkey and ham sandwiches and of course more pie...Jimmy made his famous rolls and my favorite Peanut Butter pie! Sadly our Beaver season did not end as hoped, the Civil War was horrible, such a disappointment! We were so excited about the possibility of going to the Rose Bowl, well there is always next year!!! I got all my hair cut off, it is a nice change and a fun style. Jimmy is doing great at work, staying busy so we are thankful for that! We have the biggest Christmas tree this year!!! It is 19 ft. tall! Jimmy got so excited about the height that we didn't think about the width, when we got it in Jimmy's dad's truck I realized it was wider than the truck!! We have it anchored to the wall with fishing line! It turned out beautiful but it will be our Christmas memory of 2008, I'm just waiting for the squirrel to jump out of it (Christmas Vacation...great movie).
Emma has decided she wants to get her ears pierced for Christmas, we'll see if she goes through with it. I will be pleasantly surprised if she does it. She has finally mastered the monkey bars...poor thing has so many callouses on her hands but she did it, now she's trying tricks on them! She wrote a song titled "Jesus our Savior" and one of the guys at church put music to it and they sang it at the ladies Christmas party on Saturday, she was so proud, and we are singing it at church next week! Her and Mimi are having their 4th annual Tea Party next Saturday, they are working on the menu and crafts now. She is counting the days until Christmas vacation (me too, no alarm).
McCoy has his Christmas program at school on Thursday, he has been practicing his songs and the sign language that goes with "Silent Night". It is the cutest thing watching him! McCoy loves the tree, he just looks at it and says "it's beautiful". Some friends gave him some karate gear and he loves wearing it, it's a helmet and gloves. He goes between being a pirate, Buzz Lightyear, Emil (from Ratatouille), karate and of course a super hero! We have been using our Wii a lot and McCoy is really good at bowling! He even does it with his eyes closed and thinks it's the funniest thing! Last month we took the boys bunk beds apart and they were so excited! We needed to do it because Wyatt would climb up the ladder, still being asleep to lay with McCoy and we were scared he would fall.
Wyatt is growing like a weed...he had an outfit on yesterday that just a few months ago was too long and now it's too short!!! Can't believe how big he's getting. He is obsessed with Santa, it's pretty cute, he loves watching the Christmas movies and singing all the carols. He actually sings "Jingle Bells" where you can tell what he's singing, it is so sweet! I wish I had a dollar for everytime I've told him to leave the Christmas tree alone, I'd be a wealthy woman :0) He has started playing Wii too, he loves to bowl and can sometimes do it without help, but he's so stuborn, he gets really mad when we want to help him. It takes a lot of patience to play with him...Jimmy is much better than me about it!
I have so much to be thankful for and am very blessed!!! Hope you all have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Enjoy the pictures!
Love you all,
Karen
